How to automatically create discussions from your lectures

Automatically add your lectures to discussions so students can ask and answer questions with their classmates as soon as each lecture comes out. This forms a sense of community between you and your students and this also gives you an indirect feedback of whether or not your lectures are effective.

  1. Go to your dashboard and click edit on the ecourse that you’d like to add automatic discussions for
  2. You will be redirected to the ecourse editor. Turn on the button for automatic topics on the general section at the right.
  3. You should see a green notification bar that verifies that you have successfully automated topics for your lectures
  4. To make sure you’ve done this correctly, go to your discussions and you should see that your lectures have already been automatically added as topics and your students may now post questions and answer them as well.
